Plant Operator C (8807-323)

Essential Functions:
Under minimal supervision, performs tasks required for efficient operation of all functions in a natural gas processing plant, including the cryogenic plant, amine treating plant, glycol and mole-sieve dehydration systems, tank farm, utilities, engines/compressors, PD and centrifugal pumps, and other plant functions, systems, and equipment.
Responsible for ensuring proper flows, temperatures, pressures, and levels.
Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
Recognizes equipment abnormalities.
Communicates with maintenance regarding significant repairs.
Responsible for recording of parameter values, completion of operating reports, notification of environmental deviations, and equipment lockout/tag-out for maintenance and repair.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, comprehends, and applies information in operating and equipment manuals.
Physical capabilities of standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders and stairs, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
Essential Requirements:
High School diploma or GED.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer skills
Effective written &verbal communications
Ability to read comprehend and apply information in operating manuals,
Ability to respond to emergency call-outs within the hour,
Physical capabilities of standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height , lifting of loads weighting up to 80 lbs
Preferred Skills:
4 years general experience in the oil/gas industry.
2 years operating experience in the oil/gas industry.
Experience in a Cryogenics or processing plant
Experience in operating process and equipment controls.
Experience working with pressure vessels and equipment.
Basic computer use skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
Shift work and overtime as required to cover illness, vacation or other absence.
Work holidays and weekends as required.
Must have good driving record.
Natural Gas Plant work is subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas lines, heavy lifting and cramped conditions.
The job also may require shift work, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. Employees are required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
